Advice On The Siemens Industry Software Inc. Lawsuit
Siemens Industry Software Inc. filed a John Doe Lawsuit against users who obtained pirated copies of their software from unlicensed sources.
Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software, Inc. (a.k.a. “Siemens PLM”) used to be the name of the company filing lawsuits against engineers who use Siemens NX software without a license.
Siemens has since re-branded to be called “Siemens Industry Software, Inc.” I have since changed the links and names of the articles in this lawsuit to reference this new name, but the category tags of Siemens PLM still remains on a few articles.
I am keeping it this way because for so many years, Siemens used the “Siemens PLM” name when enforcing their copyright rights, whether that was through sending letters using their licensing arm or their attorneys at ReedSmith LLP.
